Brown Deer Middle/High School - 2016 National School of Character 
Brown Deer was recently designated as a 2016 National School of Character by  Each year,, selects schools and districts that demonstrate a dedicated focus on character development programs that show a positive impact on academic achievement, student behavior and school climate. Through an in-depth and rigorous evaluation process, the Brown Deer Middle/High School was designated. Criteria for selection are based on's 11 Principles of Effective Character Education.

"We are extremely proud to be designated as a school of character.  We are proud of our students, teachers, staff and parents for driving our district to reach this prestigious milestone."


Summer Food Service Program at Brown Deer Elementary
All children 18 years of age and younger are eligible to participate in the summer lunch program.  Lunch will be served at the Brown Deer Elementary School following summer school sessions.  Children are able to receive school lunch when that meal may be otherwise unavailable.  For more information on the program, please see the link below:

If you have a student who will be 4 years of age by September 1st and you are a resident of the Village of Brown Deer, you can register in the District Office located at 8200 N. 60th Street any time between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please see the information below for more details on the documents necessary to register for school. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 414-371-6750.

Friends of Brown Deer Theatre
Help us to support the theatre program at our schools. Our district is fortunate enough to have some very talented students and staff who are interested in making our theatre productions successful. From plays to musicals, to improv Brown Deer Middle/High School has something for everyone.  Help to make a difference in the lives of our students by becoming a member of the Friends of Brown Deer Theatre.  By helping to support our programs, you will receive ticket vouchers to be used at any performance! 

Peachjar Electronic Flyers for Parents
The School District of Brown Deer has implemented a new electronic flyer distribution system. By making this change, the School District will be able to save paper, trees, time and money.  Hopefully, now you will have all of the information you previously received in paper flyers, or possibly not at all, available in the convenient click of a button. Thanks for Making a Difference
The Education Foundation of Brown Deer is announcing a new program, Thanks for Making a Difference, that will provide a way for parents, students, community members, and alumni to recognize teachers, coaches and other staff members who have been inspirational and/or made a difference in their lives or in the lives of their children.  It also is a way to honor or remember a friend or family member, by making a tax deductible donation to the Education Foundation in their name.  Your gift supports education and innovative programs for all students throughout the district.
